Whether you’re cleaning, moving, or reinstalling, here’s how to safely take down your roller shade and put it back up again. Step-by-step instructions included.

To remove your shade, you want to push up on the mechanism side and pull over.
That will pop your shade out. Notice on the mechanism side, you have these two claws.
On the pin end side, when you pull that mechanism up and push over, that pin will compress and pop the shade out.
To reinstall it, you want to start with the pin end. Put the pin end into the holes and compress the pin.
On your mechanism's side, you will use the two claws. When you compress the pin, you put those into the slots and you pull down.
Your shade has now been reinstalled.
