With over 10 years in the window treatment industry, I founded West Window Treatments with the belief that custom window coverings should seamlessly balance beauty and functionality. I launched the company 8 years ago, turning what began as an idea on paper into a full-scale operation built around craftsmanship, customization, and local production.
My journey into window coverings started through real estate. After earning my real estate license and launching my own brokerage, GrowtheReg, I saw firsthand how much the right window treatments could elevate both new construction and remodeling projects. I initially entered the industry as a dealer for Alta Window Coverings, focusing primarily on shutters under the name Salt City Shutters. Over time, as projects became more complex and client expectations evolved, I realized there was a real need for more innovative, flexible solutions.
That realization led to the creation of West Window Treatments. What started as in idea in my basement after long nights of planning and problem-solving quickly grew from a one-man side hustle into a thriving business. Today, we’re a team of 12, including installation, sales, marketing, HR, and AV solutions. All working together to create window treatments that are truly custom from start to finish.
I’m especially passionate about pushing what’s possible in our industry. By sourcing mechanisms from multiple suppliers and developing in-house manufacturing, we’re able to produce many of our products locally in Ogden, Utah, with a strong focus on fabric roller shades and automated solutions. This hands-on approach allows us to move faster, customize more deeply, and deliver solutions tailored to each project’s unique needs.
As a newer member of the Northern Wasatch Home Builders Association (NWHBA), I value collaboration with builders, designers, and industry professionals who share a commitment to quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife, son, and daughter. We love being outdoors-camping, fishing, biking, and playing softball together whenever we can.
What drives me most is seeing ideas turn into reality. Helping homeowners, designers, and builders bring their spaces to life through solutions that are both functional and beautiful is what fuels my passion every day. West Window Treatments isn’t just a business, it’s the result of years of dedication, problem-solving, and a genuine love for what we do.
